Tongue Cleansing (Jihva Nirlekhana)

Tongue Cleansing (Jihva Nirlekhana)

A hygiene measure and healthy routine that is advised in the daily routine (Dinacharya) of Ayurveda is the cleansing of the tongue.

The tongue is the mirror of a person’s digestion state. A white coating on the tongue means indigestion or improper digestion of food.

The rough layer that covers the tongue is impregnated with a mixture of saliva, dead cells, mucous, germs, microbes, dead white blood cells, bacteria, viruses and fungi, created by the accumulation of food residues that have penetrated its pores and the action of saliva and mucous membrane.

Cleaning your teeth without cleaning your tongue is incomplete oral hygiene. A gentle scraping of the tongue is advised after cleaning the teeth with a metal scraper.

Jihva Nirlekhana has been manufactured from the highest quality stainless steel.

We have it in two formats: individual and family pack (3 units)

How to use: After cleaning your teeth, gently scrape your tongue. Drag the bow over the extended tongue in an outward direction.

Maintenance: Wash it after each use. Beauty from the outside to the inside.
